It’s complex but the question no one seems to ask is why do some students hate writing essays? Many one path fits all and for profit education systems are moulded by capitalist and parental ideals. ‘Why am i learning this?’ Education should be fundamentally desire driven. Often it is duty bound.

And then i’d only have time to read about a quarter of the output on a dedicated month of reading. Also, that much in auto payments can really screw with cashflow.

OMG. Can someone please explain to me why we can’t pay for substacks (etc) by article rather than only by subscription? Same question for magazines/newspapers, even there by issue if need be. There’s maybe 30/40 writers i want to follow, i’m happy to pay but subscriptions would cost me £200 a month.
