Ahh yes, I almost forgot all the scam responses and listings. Those have been really frustrating too, to the point where I have trouble trusting potentially legit emails from companies/recruiters.
Thank you. We’ve really had to buckle down, and thankfully have great friends and family around to support us. Unemployment has been useless so time to try and take my PhD back to retail.
The job market is ROUGH. As a laid off former federal contractor, it’s been really really difficult to find a role. And even when I do, I’ve either heard nothing back, or been contacted by a recruiter and then ghosted after I answer back.
So, happy to say I’ve applied to work at Costco.

Senator, I’m a little more concerned about the chaos causing layoffs among federal workers and contractors, and especially about the illegal access to our sensitive data and financial systems by unelected, unaccountable people!
Hey @markwarner.bsky.social, what are you, Gerry Connolly, and Tim Kaine doing about this illegal suspension of funds? Isn’t it Congress’ job to handle money? It’s really tough now to pay my bills, get groceries, and take care of my prenatal care without a paycheck thanks to all these freezes.
As someone who relied on grants to pay my rent and bills in graduate school, these are vital funding methods to support those doing the real research in medicine, science, and health. I wouldn’t have been able to develop methods that help identify illicit and dangerous drug compounds without grants.
Not when there’s two camera angles that show the ball over the line, but the officials got the word that it’s a Chiefs home game.. and we know how that goes.
This isn’t even fun to watch anymore. So many missed calls, missing the fact that the ball hit the ground on that “catch” and now no delay of game when there was a full second there before the 2min warning? NFL and the refs aren’t even trying to hide it anymore. #NFL
Just gonna start drawing an asterisk next to things like that.

I’m so tired of having to spent so much time, energy, and money (literally thousands and thousands in legal fees) to protect my rights in a country that claims Liberty and Justice For All. It’s exhausting, but I’ll never give up.
