As a European, I don't see much difference between Trump's US and the rulers of Iran. Both countries:

- support Putin and his war on Ukraine
- are led by aggressive religious zealots
- spread their extremist ideas
- don't care about human lives.

the term “military excursion” is a pejorative term to describe military adventurism gone awry, needlessly draining blood and treasure so in that sense yes, Donald trump accidentally is describing his policies and actions accurately
