Transgenic plant canola
Canola transformation is challenging and time-consuming, but thanks to @jiaxuwu.bsky.social, we now have three clubroot effectors in canola. Two exciting studies using these lines will be out as preprint this yearβstay tuned!

Based on the available gene annotation, there are only 345 genes with domain signatures associated with NLR receptors. By using RenSeq, and designing the re-annotation pipeline, our research identified 715 NLR genes in the Westar canola genome!
