Caring jobs are the most demanding jobs in America, and that they're so underpaid is almost entirely the result of misogyny and the myth that caring is "women's work."
We could treat violations as the actions of bad people, and blame them as a result.
Or we could treat violations as an indicator to better design systems so they donβt necessitate those violations, and include functions that support workers when they are forced to work around flawed systems.
