I bet a person could outline the old borders. I never thought about drawing a line to show the transition before until now. I like to think about how each town got its name. The Spanish names are more descriptive and somewhat more predictable.

It’s interesting to look closely at maps of the Southwest and western parts of the United States and notice how the towns and counties predominantly have Spanish names then it changes. I wonder if someone could draw a definitive line connecting the Spanish named towns where they change language? 🤔
