stance damage! not the same thing as damage. if you deal damage to an enemy, and their stance is able to absorb the stance damage, they will take less damage and will not be knocked back as hard. different weapons deal different amounts of health and damage. valerie's tail attack deals 100 :3

like all of this stuff will be alleviated if/when the market shifts to accommodate linux more but i personally don't enjoy having to finagle with software just to play video games lmao, i definitely won't be one of the first people to switch if it ever happens

the most bewildering thing ever so far is seeing a bug for something, patching it, then wondering how the fucking system even functioned before you patched the bug. Wtf do you mean i havent been passing the hitbox’s knockback direction correctly this whole time, i have video evidence???

average game dev thing is finding out i have to obtain an entire skillset just to do something. like i had to get veryyyy comfortable with hitboxes, collisions, signals, and now i have to do dialogue boxes. which is a part of UI, another thing i am doing pretty much for the first time
