baker of pies, teller of tales, I wish I commuted by bike more than I do, and golly the imposter syndrome is strong with me these days. recently adopted two 5yo male cats and am re-learning who is in charge of the house, especially the feeding schedule.

When this national nightmare is over, we need a huge reckoning.
We can start with a brand new Constitutional Convention and update our "founding" principles. Multi year effort by let's bring the Constitution into modern day and not 18th century musket territory.
I donβt think rank and filed Republicans are prepared for the society to come. Weβre liberals and Democrats no longer see them as fundamentally good but misinformed people.
But see them clearly for the absolute fucking trash humans they have shown themselves to be and treated accordingly
If only there was another war I could think of in recent memory involving the US in the Middle East, where regime change was promised, didnβt happen, victory was declared and then the whole thing was repeated catastrophically badly at a later date. π€
"Yes, building less dangerous cars and more forgiving roads would help address the USβs sky-high tally of roadway fatalities. But another way to save lives deserves far more attention than it gets: Stop forcing Americans to drive so much." @davidzipper.bsky.social www.bloomberg.com/news/article...
THIS!!!
This is how our government has been corrupted:
1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat
We must get big money out of politics. Itβs the root of all evil in Washington.
you're reminding me of this

I want to know how many stray animals those rich people have paid to have spayed & neutered w/ their own money. How many pets have they personally rescued from a death sentence at a shelter? Odds are high they got their dog from a breeder. They can eff right off criticizing anyone for having a pet.
Plus, clear cut all of Oregon

So heβs surrendering without accomplishing any of his stated objectives while declaring victory. Exactly what we said would happen.
At every USL game this weekend, USL players paused play for 60 seconds in a powerful show of solidarity.
Theyβre united and ready to fight for the fair contract they deserve.
As the players stand still, Americaβs unions stand with them.

Has absolutely no leverage. Nothing needs his signature except his stoopid Executive Orders
It feels like the same reason we bail out banks, auto manufacturers, and airlines. The theory being that the system cannot hold if things this big are held to account. Maybe that isnβt a system that should hold but here we are.
I think more than what was going on with Epstein with him raping kids , we need to know why the US was protecting him.
Trumpβs unconstitutional war in Iran has already cost us $5 BILLION. Heβs writing a blank check to the defense industry, as he guts health care and food assistance for millions of American families.
When people say this moment feels alarming, theyβre right.
But itβs important to recognize something else:
This didnβt begin yesterday.
It began the moment a presidency decided that truth was whatever the president said it was.π
A new plaque now marks the site of the January 6, 2021 Capitol assault, positioned near the West Front steps where some of the most intense clashes between rioters and law enforcement unfolded.
Literally everything the Heritage Foundation suggests is nauseating
βThe stateβs proposed βtrigger laws,β β¦are direct challenges to Plyler v. Doe, a narrowly decided 1982 Supreme Court case that enshrined the right to a free Kβ12 public education regardless of immigration status.β
In a hotel room, a brick wall that has obviously had a huge hole repaired
Pretty sure the Kool-Aid man stayed in this hotel room once

love how we killed the old, frail anti-nuke ayatollah just to have him replaced with his young, healthy son who wants nukes and who just had his father, mother, wife, and child murdered on the same day by his mortal enemy. surely this will bring peace to the region
WSJ: βA WSJ investigation tracked U.S. citizens caught in the crosshairs of an aggressive government campaign to detain and demonize dissenters.β
The Trump regime is cracking down on dissent. As authoritarians do.

Glad this was vetoed. We agree this bill injected politics into a function of government that should remain nonpartisan. Governor Katie Hobbs vetoed SB1439, which would have created a special βTurning Pointβ license plate and directed $17 of the $25 fee to Turning Point USA.
The worst president ever.
Thirty-one House Republicans has announced that they are not seeking re-election this year. It's a good chance that before the midterm that MAGA MIKE might be out of the speakership if some of the Republicans step down before their term is up.

i think thatβs why the White House canceled the latest DHS warning notice to local law enforcement around the country
so local cops wonβt thwart their attacks on us citizens
Yes, the war with Iran increases the likelihood of a terrorist attack, one that would help ensure Trump could declare a national emergency.
It is the plan.
