I’ve restarted it now that I’ve played the first 2 Xenoblades, Xenogears, and all 3 Xenosagas and it’s crazy how it builds on all of them to create something really special

The 25th Ward is probably more well known than other games being talked about but it’s definitely underplayed. It takes the structure and themes of The Silver Case and ramps up how surreal and brutal it got to explore the pressure cooker that is modern society

I would love a future RE game to have a bit where you’re the one waiting to be rescued and all you can do is watch the other character have to do all the convoluted stuff in real time to help you
Happy birthday Ivy!
Yeah it’s ridiculous, like you can’t pretend it was just about murder and supernatural stuff, even if wasn’t depicted it was always clear about the kind of abuse she suffered
It really was, she’s the heart of that series, even more than Cooper can be, and she deserved to get time in the spotlight directly, even if at the time people saw it as filler misery porn (which is unsurprising but still feels insane to me)
It’s my favorite part of Twin Peaks, I love that when everyone wanted to know what happened next to Dale Cooper, Lynch wanted to show Laura’s life and death from her perspective, giving her the full light of humanity the other characters got but she couldn’t get in the show
My friend described their relationship to gender as a broken water balloon, where each random small piece are a part of each gender

And being honest about it and fully engaging with it is more fulfilling. Whether it’s about an aspect in a work that I like or is problematic, it means understanding it and the things in our world that informed it more, and that leads to a much richer experience
NEW: I spoke to the sex workers organizing a union at Sheri's Ranch, a brothel in Nevada, about a contract that they say could threaten their right to control their images online. The fight is already serious: since the drive began, four workers have been fired. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
I hate when people act like there’s no context informing choices in a piece of art, like you don’t get to wash your hands clean and go “It’s fake man, why do you even care?” when it’s drawing on real forms of dehumanization to say an entire group is inherently evil
I love a lot of different kinds of music but nothing beats a good breakbeat, that shit ignites my soul like nothing else
That sounds fucking awesome, glad it went great!

This movie is incredible, I love how surprisingly honest it is about what it means to realize the thing that has given you so much fuel to dream and love throughout your life has capitalist underpinnings that threaten to destroy what made it special to you, and still finding a way to care about it
Emerald Fennell is a hack and I love to see that be more widely recognized
Finished Xenosaga 3 (and by extension the Xenosaga trilogy) and while it suffers under its ambition and production issues a little, it finished so strong with a beautiful ending that displays its belief of living connected with others, accepting that our time is limited and embracing what’s ahead
How could you give up any episode of Utena, they’re all great and significant
This one based on the same scene is great too youtu.be/NDvGNLuSxZA?...
That’s amazing! Very happy for you!

When it cuts to Shakti, Suzy, Karl, and Flanders in pain cause of it I felt such a pit in my stomach
That’s crazy, glad nothing happened to you
A lot of Automata feels like when you get to an episode that starts off normal but then becomes a recap episode where they put new dialogue over the clips so you have to keep watching it
I know people see him as a forgettable part of the game but I think he’s a fun villain and he has an incredible boss theme
