Nothing more discomfiting than federal agents circling your grocery store parking lot to try and snatch people. Since when did federal agents kidnapping people off the street become a normal course of action. It happened in my community; it's happening in MN. Coming to your neighborhood soon.

We are being traumatized. There is an intentional effort to overwhelm our senses with the senselessness. In Chicago, in Waco, in Palestine and in other places. There are those who believe they must hurt and dominate others to secure their place in the world. I do not believe that.
This moment is disturbing even in the mundane: I’ve started taking screenshots of historical sources I’m using in research from the national park service, the smithsonian, and the national archives, just in case they get taken down. It’s now a part of my process and takes time I have to plan for.
