Frankly absurd. Writer of all sorts of nonsense. Nothing here reflects views of employers, publishers or my terribly embarrassed kids. He/him. #ActuallyAutistic Website: https://scottkandrews.com/

„Don‘t ever take this site or anything it publishes seriously . It is actively looking to hire people who hate Starfleet Academy to write about it.

Ask me again why I think the anti-SFA sentiment is manufactured.

btw about that pixar thing, the reason why these people think having a conversation about gay people with kids is difficult is because they don't know a way to say to their kid "gay people are normal but you are not allowed to be one" without sounding like a bigot (there is a reason for that)

A ★★★★ review of On the Beach (1959) This review may contain spoilers. Visit the page to bypass this warning and read the review.

First up in our Nuclear paranoia watch, the 1959 film of Nevil Shute's deeply traumatising (to 13-year-old me) book, On The Beach, in which a beloved star of light romantic musical comedies gasses himself in his garage. letterboxd.com/scottkandrew...

My better half wanted to watch Threads, and I wanted to show her Edge of Darkness and then, well, we got carried away and now we have a watch list of depressing nuclear paranoia films and TV designed to give us sleepless nights. Yay.

My primary school showed us this when I was 6 or 7. I had nightmares for *years* about the slurry pit death.

Nala, a small maltese/poodle cross with short, curly brown fur, sitting on a sofa with her front legs crossed. She looks very composed and oddly businesslike. All she needs is a cocktail and a cigarette.

True, the books are very, very different. The 1st season adapted a few of them, but it was tonally very different - when it came back after a few years there was even further divergence. I quite enjoyed the books tho I often struggled to understand the resolutions - they were quite obliquely written

Film is Fabulous have secured the collection we know includes at least one missing episode. It's a big collection - 10,000 film cans - so it may take some time before we know which one, or whether there are more in there.

Police must be so annoyed about podcasts, every podcast is basically ‘then the policeman tripped over his dick, picking some flowers as he fell, handing them to the murderer, then crushing the victim and her small child. Also they lost all the evidence and shot an unrelated black man in the face.’

FYI for fellow narrative designers/game writers: the studio in question is Sentona Games and it’s my understanding they are currently interviewing to replace me. Be very careful with them. They were very nice to me and easy to work with right up until I needed the money I was promised.

The cover of the first Star Trek adaptation by James Blish. Painted. Kirk front and centre, with Spock, who is green behind him. Also the Enterprise, which appears to be powered by rockets.

I covet my original copy of the first book. Green Spock! Who comes from Vulcanis! Rocket-powered Enterprise! Kirk works for Space Service - Starship Command! 'Circling the solar Sphere!' Yeoman Rand more important than Bones! It's hilariously bonkers.
