Bombing a school once is horrific; striking again as rescuers arrive is the textbook definition of a prohibited double tap. International humanitarian law exists to protect civilians and aid workers. When any military crosses that line, accountability is not optional.

It turns out the U.S. did a “double tap” attack just as emergency responders were arriving at the girls’ elementary school. This is what the Russians do routinely in Ukraine.

That’s a war crime under international humanitarian law.
