I love the breakout rooms! I've actually shared a breakout room link with each pupil and they post independently and then I use the slide presentation feature to collaborate and bring ideas together 🤩🤓

If the coaching is more around Admin work or deadlines etc, then some micromanagement needs to be put in place, e.g. regular meetings in between data points etc. Unfortunately, it's hard to tell sometimes whether they are overwhelmed/struggling or just not working hard enough. True in any job.

Arguably, it needs to become a more formal process. Forms stress people out, so as a mentor I would ask the trainee to write a simple goal on a post it note & they'd show me before the lesson & stick it to their desk. It's hard to remember everything but the note was a good trigger reminder.

Yep, because we need to teach all social media of Taylor Swift & The Voice with AQA's A Level Media, and Marcus Rashford & Kim Kardashian at AQA's GCSE Media

Personally, I teach my students to consider whether the focus is narrative in their point or industry, e.g. when commenting on gender, or ethnicity as a choice by producers, they've chosen this actor. But narrative and camera shots are focusing on power, representation of character...

The question will be, 'The video games industry is only concerned with profit.’ How far do you agree with this statement?

I'm setting my A-Level students a GCSE exam question tomorrow as an intro to our Video Game Topic. They will type answers & I'll use Notebook LM for feedback during the lesson. I love detailed mark schemes & open evaluation questions! I'll update reflections 🤓 #MediaStudies #NotebookLM #GoogleEdu
