AI is an amazing tool for things outside of art. Science is one of the best places it can be used, given scrutiny is still remembered. But art? The audacity that a machine could make art by its own and it still means something is off the charts. So I want to be more audacious than that lol.
You and your art are special, you’re one of a kind, and your art is an act of revolution towards AI “art”. Art has always been a statement, a stance, and that’s as true now as it has ever been. Keep up the good work, all of you. <3
If you feel discouraged by the usage of AI to create slop, that is completely fair. But I think there’s some pride that can be taken in that, that some would try to poorly imitate the creativity that only you hold, and often fail to do so with any meaning.
No one can make art the way you can. You are literally one in seven billion, an almost incomprehensible number, and it’s you who can make the art the way you do. I’ve been on the internet for a long time, and have seen so many talented artists, and even watched their styles grow.
I am an artist, and my lived experience and love for the craft guide everything I create. My love for storytelling and world building guide my writing and illustration, and even though some people would look to replace that, I’m fully aware that I am irreplaceable.
At the start of this year, I decided to really go out of my way for my art. There are many reasons for this, but the biggest being a sense of individuality that comes with making art. Ever since this AI boom happened with “AI Art”, it’s been almost radicalizing in boosting my own confidence.
