Council Meeting - Notes and Points of Interest for Heald Green Ward
It was quite the council meeting - lasting nearly five hours on Thursday evening.
The meeting referenced the MEN article about the harassment Heald Green Councillors had received.

Also present at the meeting were Healthwatch, a council commissioned service which helps local people access health and care. Healthwatch also compile information on practices accepting NHS patients their contact details are below too.

The lack of NHS dentists is recognised as a key issue by the Government. Local health commissioners are tasked with increasing NHS places. The situation is improving with more NHS places being made available in Stockport.

It's been picked up by the MEN and now a load of people who haven't read the blog or the article are posting aggressive comments complaining we need infrastructure and you need to listen to local residents. I'd swear social media is the death of civilisation. π

So, I wrote a blog mentioning the abuse and harassment my councillor colleagues have had about the Local Plan. I carefully explained we have to adhere to national policy and having listened to residents how important it is that we have infrastructure and green spaces.
