Tun wir jetzt so, als wäre diese Aussage normal? Ignorieren wir einfach, dass hier ein unverzichtbares Anstands-Mindestmaß zerbrochen wurde? Oder kommt da doch noch ein bisschen Aufruhr?
Wir müssen nicht über Brandmauern philosophieren, wenn es auf beiden Seiten der Mauer lichterloh brennt.

I am so glad to have had the encouragment from my friends - @icuervo.bsky.social, @ivantubiosanles.bsky.social and others - which pushed me to apply to @politicsoxford.bsky.social for my PhD.
It's application season and sometimes fear of rejections can keep us from applying to the places and programs we most wish to be studying at.
In my experience, self-doubt is especially wide-spread amongst women in academia.
Applying to Oxford in 2022, it took a lot of convincing from people I trusted for me to see myself as someone with a chance at getting in - or of thriving in the kind of place I expected Oxford to be. For women, historically underrepresented in elite programs like ours, this is a common experience.
Applications close soon to study a DPhil in Politics or international Relations.
