When you assume bad things are always done in secret, it can take much too long to realize proclamations of ill intent are serious.
I think this is the hang-up.
Itβs most likely the bad corn salad I ate for lunch.
Star Trek Into Darkness scene. Kelvin timeline Khan is shown, played by the masterful Bannister Crumblebench. Camera is shooting up from below him, his face storming down at us with rage and fury all squinched up like a yuk sticker on a bottle of something under your sink you shouldn't drink. Closed caption reads, "You should have let me sleep."
LAN party at an Internet cafe playing runescape while drinking a whole keg of Virgilβs micro brewed root beer is mine.
**truly inspirational in caves of Qud.
Itβs a visually stunning movie with a very disturbing/hard to watch plot with an intense performance by Vincent D'Onofrio. Def TW/CW
But as a musician the sound track has always stuck with me more than the movie though, just for how alien it is.
Unrelated, your work is truly inspiration on COQ.
Star Trek III: The Search for Spock scene. An older and well seasoned Montgomery Scott is pictured within a turbolift (future space elevator) behind doors as they're closing. Closed caption reads, "Up your shaft."
fantasy (devastating back cover in replies)
@jfg.land was any of the caves of Qud music inspired by the movie the cell?

Trump in white robes and a pointy βpopeβ hat is most likely pretty close to his preferred garb.
Me sitting next to a life-size statue of Wallace from Wallace & Gromit.
Made a new friend!
A fun way I brought this to my bands small following was by including bandcamp downloads in cassettes we made.
The cassette was basically merch, (although did Indeed have the full album professionally recorded to it). Most people were essentially just buying the code in a fancy case.
If you give me functional housing goods so I can make my Qud home more livable for all my wriggly Qud friends I would be forever grateful.
Richard Dawson said it best.

I've built a machine that can be Confidently Wrong. It can also make pictures that all look a bit the same, as well as make a video of you kissing any celebrity or person you know. In payment, I'd like to boil the world's oceans dry, & steal all literature. For some reason, my head is not on a spike
Please tell me itβs a either
A. a full ttrpg system designed by you all
Or
B. A QUD setting book I can hack into gamma world/mcc
Man at the DMV ranting about how much better of a state Texas is because the poor clerk missed a line on one of his 15 forms literally giving me stress palpitations
Elon buying D&D has to be him being a financial masochist at this point.
Last company he bought at least someone had to develop a platform to compete with and circumvent his BS.... D&D is just in our heads?! like we don't need to keeping buying in to keep playing??
the weird thing about the zeitgeist around AI is we both give it the allowance of fallibility that you would give a 4 year old, yet expect it to reliably increase productivity at a corporate level.
Like imagine if Microsoft came out with a new version of excel that hallucinated as much as GPT...
What is it called when you never finish anything creative due to skill growth that makes you keep redoing stuff as your standards for yourself seemingly infinitely increase?
Pile of TV shows I havenβt watched but keep promising everyone I will?
Nope. Time to rewatch all of Jeremy Brettβs Sherlock Holmes followed by all of Captain Scarlett for the 98th time.
I think morrowind is a weird egg to remaster.
If itβs only a graphics remaster, that would be awesome.
But like introducing modern mechanics like true fast travel would make the relatively physically small world feel much smaller.
Also the voice acting w be a monster with all the dialogue
@unormal.bsky.social is there any good Pringles Easter eggs in Caves of Qud?
DS9 scene. Q is pictured, wearing a "tank top" and sporting a manly man's old tymey mustache. His fists are up as if he's boxing, and the camera POV is us like we're the opponent. He has kind of deranged hornet eyes for some reason. Closed caption reads, "Fisticuffs, pugilism, the manly art of self-defense."
The book is a really fun read as well, although def different from the movie. I love both for different reasons.
Also the movie has a really cool Book of the new sun reference with the weird talking bear.
I was raised on the Atari 800xl, Atari ST and DOS era of gaming. Even though Iβve never owned a true commodore (although there is arguments about the ST qualifyingβ I have loved everything Iβve seen you post so far.
Zoomed out we see a small, lone shuttlecraft flying through a cloudy sky. Closed caption reads, "(screaming)"
