I see people are reacting completely normal to Mills getting trounced in the polls.

Sent 21 query letters to managers/agents today. Another 19 marked into a referral tier in my spreadsheet.

I’m exhausted. I used to be built different.

*Back to back chips now*

Next picks are in 2028. Will be sad missing out on 2027 class but a possible 3-peat is worth the trade off.

I just read that John Carpenterβ€˜s "The Thing" has been selected by the Library of Congress as one of this year’s 25 films to join the National Film Registry due to their "cultural, historic or aesthetic importance to preserve the nation’s film heritage." Fuck, yeah!

45M dead cap hit if they move him.

Probably worth it to start over imo, just take your medicine this year, but also who wants that albatross of a contract?

Just left Sundance. Feeling inspired to dive in on my next project.

PSA: Go watch Cookie Queens when it comes out on whatever platform picks it up. Adorable documentary on the Girl Scouts. Really well done.

I think it could get an Oscar nom.

From Senator Chris McDaniel: β€œLately, some folks have taken to calling ICE β€œthe Gestapo.” It sounds fierce. It feels righteous. But it isn’t true, and it isn’t harmless.

The Gestapo was a secret police force. No warrants. No courts. No lawyers. And no appeals. People vanished in the night, not because they broke the law, but because the law no longer meant anything. The knock on the door was the sentence.

ICE isn’t that. Not even close.

ICE is a public agency enforcing laws passed by elected officials. Its agents file reports. They seek warrants. They lose cases. Judges stop them. Lawyers challenge them. Some detainees go home. That’s not tyranny. That’s bureaucracy, for better and worse.

You can hate immigration policy. You can argue enforcement is too harsh, too sloppy, or too broad. You can work to have the law changed if you wish. That’s a republic doing what it’s supposed to do.

But when you call ordinary law enforcement β€œthe Gestapo,” you cheapen real evil. You turn history into a slogan and suffering into a metaphor. And once every badge is tyranny, no tyranny is left to recognize.

In Mississippi, I was raised to believe words should earn their weight. This one hasn't yet. It throws around the language of dictatorship while living under a system where courts still rule, lawyers still argue, and the government still loses.

That difference matters.

Because the day enforcement becomes secret, unchecked, and answerable to no one, we won’t need to borrow names from history. We’ll know exactly what we’re dealing with.

And we’ll wish we’d kept our words honest.”

If it doesn’t work, Campbell should lose his job for passing on McDaniel.

But I think it might work as well.

Didn’t like it but didn’t we just do the circumvent a primary thing in 2024 for the presidential nominee too?

Anti-Establishment Captain America was so dope man and the Russo Brothers deserve all the flowers for fixing that character.

I was in a league where waivers were real $ that was paid at the end of the year and not pretend faab. It was also a live auction for a whole day, where people kept upping their bid via text to the commish, not a blind bid like today. Wild.

I’m sorry but I cannot bring myself to give a single fuck about what Trump does to the White House, with everything that is happening in this country. There are so many other things that deserve our energy.

It’s pretty wild that this position was considered radical 5 years ago. Progressives were right.

Disagreeing with people on blue sky is like you’re disagreeing with your best friends. Disagreeing with people on X is like you’re disagreeing with Himmler and Goebbels.
