The iconic South Stand (opened in 1933) at Vångavallen in Trelleborg might have been used for the last time. During 2026 a new all-seated South Stand will be built and in 2025 the current stand will only be in use if the North Stand (1,600 seats) is sold-out.
I was actually not planning any live football today but with the weather being really nice I changed my mind. At Österås IP Konstgräs Hässleholms IF host Ariana in a pre-season friendly and I could combine it with a visit to my brother.
Unless their appeal is successful IFK Värnamo have to play their home games at Borås Arena (110 km from Värnamo). Finnvedsvallen in Värnamo doesn't meet the required ground criteria for Allsvenskan and the 3-year dispensation period has expired.
My first game of the year was at Söndrums IP Konstgräs where Halmstads BK hosted Gefle in the group stage of the Swedish Cup. A few degrees below the freezing point but the 🌞 was out so not too bad. This weekend's cup games starts the football season in Sweden 🙂

Thank you 😊
