Story Based Adventure

This is a good core game that I think got caught in some of the trappings of kickstarted projects get. Namely bloat and pacing getting dragged down. The amount of characters makes each one you actually interact with start to mater less.. Great Tho

Kinetic Novel

Free Visual Novel on steam that I really liked. There are a fair few interesting themes towards the end but it is framed in a coming of age Sapphic story in 1980's Russia.

I love the world and everything in it is a very fitting title.

I've been playing through a few games and they feel dragging... Like I want to know the story but it's taking me a while to get through them.

I'm also planning on streaming more this year :3

Horror Movie Game

Free on Epic today it is a decent horror game, similar to dead space. I watched it and was entertained but then got bored playing it because I knew the story. The combat was satisfying but was a bit too cinematic for my taste.

Felt like a spin on a incremental battler...? There are many other better things to play but it is sufficient. Luck be a landlord really sets the bar for this and not having a Item collection to go through makes it hard to make interesting builds...

This game is so so satisfying to play. Simple story with decent level design. Some of the later levels started to get a bit frustrating, making me wish it had a Gold Mushroom type helper, but the grapple mechanics are amazing and used well.

This Dice deckbuilder was extremely satisfying.. A bit easy to me, I've debated doing more daily runs but it doesn't actually finish the runs.. I do wish it added "experience" to the characters so the lvls didn't feel like a grind. #gaming

it is interesting to play an incremental game that actually has an "end" it was satisfying. Paying for a clicker is not that common but I really appreciated not being advertised microtransactions did make it pleasant. Very relatively short but it was nice. #gaming

#moonlighter2 just came out, here's my thoughts on the original. It was one of the best games I played that year. I always loved Recettear and this embodies that gameplay loop. Bugs in the original held it from being S here's hoping for the sequel. #gaming

Looking through the full tier list I have not updated it the past few months but I'm going to try and work on that soon.

I feel like I should add a tag for my game reviews so that I can also post other things to my account. I'll have to do some research on good tag options other people use for inspos.. I am working on a summary image of everything I've reviewed so far to post at the end of the year.

This is split into timed levels and the game is fine. Great movement system but the level design doesn't lend itself to going max speed.

Basically if you roll jump everywhere like I end up doing you end up in gaps.. feels bad sometimes.

I liked this a lot to the point of getting all the achievements. At a point the game becomes an idle game and that is why my play time is so high.. kind of... I wish it had more depth it has an amazing gameplay loop but the depth feels like undercooked.. Lava Cake Game

You still did the thing imo. Taking action doesn't always have result but tracking that you did the action is the point sometimes at least to me.

This takes some of the fun movement tech from Breath of the Wild and puts it into a very sweet heartwarming game. New DLC next year will very likely be something I pick up. Adore when you can feel a creators care in the work that you get to play!

Built in randomizer makes this a very cool game to me.
It's a love letter to zelda lttp randomizer and glitches like in pokemon. The story is solid and I liked being able to see new things in a second playthrough. Would recommend if it's your jam.

This took the parts I liked of fez and polished the hell out of it. It felt like a B in the main story but the additional content really pushed the concept and I really enjoyed it. When you know when to break your own rules you can make some great puzzles.

Mainly Posting this for context but I had some difficulty with some of the language/glyph type puzzles in this and had to look up a fair few things. I completed the main objective but there was enough hidden content I know I didn't really get to.

This was an interesting clicking game that is very up front about odds. I played the loop a few times and I haven't "won" yet since it's only a 10% chance but I think I'm content with it as a game.

Engaging enough to plat for a while. There is clearly more depth to it but the base line loop wasn't quite enough to keep me from moving onto something else.

Puzzle (Sokoban) layered story

This is an older game that has a knowledge locks like blue prince but a much smaller scope.

Amazingly good monochrome pixel art and a lot of great layered game design.

The story is also heart-filled and is worth experiencing alone.
