I can’t speak to the American electorate, but my take on 2024 was that Harris faced a huge uphill battle, but made a big mistake in meeting voter anxiety with timidity. They needed to be way more bold rather than keeping their bat on the shoulder hoping Trump being awful would be enough.
It's hard to put into words the exasperation of the Leafs having the young talent they had a decade ago and how we have next to nothing to show for it. No great run. No beloved players in the way past teams had. Even the rare playoff wins were followed by just brutal defeats. What a waste.
