Obviously, I beg to differ. Depending on how you interpret the ending of the film, this scene tells you that everything that happens to the Schwarzenegger character is an illusion. He refuses to believe that – because it would spoil his fantasy of being a badass hero.

While it is a red pill, it’s not THE MATRIX.
