I can draw again!!!

(But it's been 5+ years since I used a graphic tablet sooo..... time to practice I guess 😮‍💨)

my huion kamvas has decided it's finally time to start kicking the bucket after months of being nothing more than a glorified monitor 🙃

I went and bought a refurbished graphic tablet just so I can finally draw while I decide if I wanna invest in another pen display or stick with the old fashioned

it's been forever since I picked up a pen to draw and unfortunately today won't be that day either 'cause I've got closet parts to drill into my wall, shelves to put up, and laundry to wash among a myriad of other small chores that got put off during work days 😔

Smoothie Chronicles:

Bean (garbanzo) and blueberry smoothie attempt #1 - Mediocre
Tastes too much like garbanzo beans (kinda nutty - not bad, but not a fan either) and needed too much juice. May try adding cranberries next time

Very filling tho! 10/10 good for quick on-the-go breakfast before work

Finally started Frieren between loads of laundry and can already tell this is gonna hit me hard 😭

It actually is very important that you do things that you take pleasure in, regularly. That is part of how you survive the things that feel like they are going to destroy you.

Go make the art you’ve always wanted to make. Write the stories you’ve been dreaming of. Sing your heart out. Pick up an instrument & play. Do the things you’ve been holding back on because you’re worried about what others might think. Just do it. Do it now. Life is short. Life is precious. Please.

If they're between creative teams atm I hope they hire some competent people soon, and if they're cutting costs and just shoving it onto someone who barely knows what they're doing then double fuck em

The fact they got caught using AI (when it's also in the handbook/guidelines/whatev that we're not allowed to - not to mention the fact that I never would cause I've got, idk, integrity and a sense of pride as a fuckin artist) alone is just *incomprehensible muttering*

I'm not even good at graphic design, objectively I'm a novice at best who's been 90% self taught on the job, but ohhhh my god the designs corporate puts out for us are either atrocious, soulless, nonsensical or all of the above and it pisses me off every time I have to print or use one

Hi I don’t talk about my job but it seems there’s going to be a big deportation swipe going down tomorrow so this is important! Lush stores are safe havens. They are able to hold anyone seeking safety in their backroom if needed. We have signs telling us what to say/don’t say to ICE
