Ossoff: "The WH put out a video depicting this war as a video game. When service members are returning in flag-draped coffins, & even more have lost limbs or suffered brain injuries or are fighting for their lives, this WH treats war like a game. It's a disgrace. And it speaks to a moral rot."

Questions mount for Hegseth over possible US involvement in strike on Iranian school
Democrats have written to ask the defence secretary whether the US was responsible, but he says the issue is being investigated.
Hegseth said there would be no stupid rules of engagement for Trump's war against Iran.
So they blew up a school full of children and have shown no remorse. How Christian.

Ukraine is actively protecting our troops and Russia is actively helping Iran target them.
But every single time he's tested, Trump sides with Putin. It's the most consistent he is on any topic. No matter what they do, Trump is on Team-Russia.
At this point it really doesn't matter why.

π¨ Reaching the UKβs net zero target by 2050 will cost less than a single oil shock.

Now feels like a good time to remember that Big Oil is the reason why we're still hooked on dirty, dangerous fossil fuels.
The industry's lies have essentially stolen a generationβs worth of time that we could have used to transition to cleaner, safer energy sources.
Itβs time for accountability.

Difficult times call for cooperation and dialogue. But our voting system keeps giving total power to parties that only a fraction of voters support.
On 30% of the vote, one party could win full control of our economy, health, foreign policy and defence.
We can't take that risk.

It's a reminder that Brexit had nothing to do with our interests. It was an elite project backed by extreme rightwing billionaires and their concierges, many of whom had no vote or standing in this country. Yet it was packaged as patriotism by the very people collaborating with foreign interests.

Those who most loudly assert their patriotism are always the first to sell us down the river. Both Johnson and Nigel Farage were in active discussions with Bannon, for whom Brexit was a major prize. Bannon was feeding intelligence back to Epstein, who also wanted the UK out of the European Union.

Reform's plan for a 'British ICE' combines cruelty with stupidity
Project forward to 2036 under a majority Reform government and the picture darkens further. Britain would be smaller, older and whiter; more isolated from Europe; paradoxically, more vulnerable to foreign interterence and less able to fund its own defence.
The welfare state would shrink to a skeleton. Charity would fill the gaps.
Flags would proliferate; rights would not. The police and courts would be politicised. The BBC could disappear.
The NHS would survive only as a minimal safety net. Protections against discrimination would erode - you might indeed be sacked for being disabled.
Migrants and even their British-born children could find their rights curtailed unless they were deemed to
"contribute" sufficiently. Meanwhile, the wealthiest would enjoy a generous, low-tax regime.
βRarely has a British political party unveiled a programme that combines cruelty with impracticality on such an extravagant scale.β
Chilling on Reformβs increasingly confident fascism. High on viciousness and greed. Very low on wisdom. A ruinous combination.

The will of the rich and powerful: Brexit and the Epstein files
The Epstein files reveal the role of Brexit in a global network which stands to gain from undermining democracy itself
"In reality, Brexit was fed, and empowered, by an entire class of oligarchs and autocrats, who thrive on chaos, weak regulation and brittle institutions."

Why AI Conversations Outperform Billions in Political Advertising
Eek. "In controlled experiments...AI systems successfully swayed political views in ways that should alarm anyone concerned about democratic integrity. The most unsettling part though was that the most persuasive models were also the ones spreading the most inaccurate information."
