That's me in the coral
That's me on the sandbank, being a crustacean
Trying to keep up with you
And I don't know if I can do it
Oh no, I've pinched too much
I haven't pinched enough

I almost didn't go to this because I felt so overwhelmed by all of the causes we need to fight for now.
If you're feeling this way too, know that anything you do to fight is a win.
You cannot do all the good the world needs, but the world needs all the good you can do.

Join us at the Gordon Research Seminar on Ecological and Evolutionary Genomics in Tuscany, co-chaired by @jcbnunez.bsky.social and me. If youβd like to present your research and be considered for a talk, make sure to submit your application before April 6th! www.grc.org/ecological-a...
This was SUCH a fun workshop and something I'm looking forward to getting involved with in the future!
Group of 18 current and former Bucknell University students/faculty attending the SICB conference.
Annual Bucknell SICB meet-up/reunion at #SICB2025. Always great to hear what our alums are up to!!! #PUI #STEMeducation #raybucknell
Happy to chat if you have any questions! I'm at SICB too so if you wanna grab coffee to talk about it let me know βΊοΈ
I had it saved to an external ssd attached to the latte panda on a folder that would automatically sync it to a google drive folder (Using google drive for desktop). Then I'd go and delete the old videos when space was getting full (I was recording for days at a time).
I've had success with a camera attached to a latte panda - it's basically a mini windows computer and is very straightforward!
Tomorrow night! Sign up and come by if you want to explore a creative approach to bringing your science outside the typical venues!
As an evolutionary biologist, #Arcane lover, and regrettably a League of Legends player, I had to update the letter board at my desk.

Cake with decorative bioluminescent animals (brittle star and toadfish)
And the cake was made by my amazing lab mate @cheyennemckinley.bsky.social!! It also features a little bioluminescent toadfish
End-on view of the "mystery mollusc" Bathydevius caudactylus, as described in Robison and Haddock (2024). https://doi.org/10.1016/j.dsr.2024.104414
It only took 20+ years, but the "Mystery Mollusc" paper came out this week. It is a swimming nudibranch that gallops in slow motion through the deep water-column. To top it off, it is bioluminescent, and we were able to film its glow with our special low-light camera.π¦π§ͺ
