Trump's obvious spooking by the markets explains his immanent retreat from #Iran war. A reminder that he is without any ideology or even thought.

He's the "transactional" president, whereas MAGA at least have coherent convictions. The Israelis won't be happy with him either.

Trump's "plan" to use Kurdish militias to destablise Iran (& Iraq) is music to Israeli ears & tallies with Netanyahu's objective of regional chaos & preferably civil war in Iran.

Israel uses US tax dollars & lives to further its goal of regional hegemony & expansion of territory. Remember that.

Indeed. They hate refugees but they sure love making them.

The stalwarts of the neoliberal uni-party have absolutely no idea how counter the transformation of UK politics that is underway, b/c they don't understand the underlying factor causing it: a failing economy & spiralling inequality.

I'm loving their utter bewilderment.

Just a gentle reminder that when #Netanyahu cites Amalek to justify murdering hundreds of little Iranian girls - just like he did for Gaza - he's saying the quiet bits out loud.

But the #Iran war is *definitely* all about security & freeing Iran & not about creating a greater Judea. Ok?

The Epstein class and its debased groupies on Twitter are now desperately flailing to deny that US-Israel slaughtered 165+ little Iranian girls while they sat at their desks.

A useful reminder that the biggest threat to women everywhere is the white, fat, disgusting men of our ruling class.

Media bias is exposed most effectively at times like this. Its craven compliance with Pentagon propaganda.

Mainstream media audiences & newspaper circulations are tanking b/c electorates aren't buying their lies any more, hence why there's no popular support for this war.

I remember Tony Benn's famous HoC speech in 1991.

None of the militarist war-mongers who would be men but fail, nor the pigmy politicians who are their mouthpieces are fit to lace his boots.

Not a single one of them. All fools. All misanthropes. Let them be swept into history & forgotten

It seems Starmer is not interested in learning lessons from Gorton and Denton defeat. By dismissing Greens as "extreme" he traduces the very values that founded Labour itself.

We know he's incompetent & unfit to rule.

We now know he's graceless, classless and clueless.

Are we sure Mandelson isn't still in the background pulling the strings? This sounds like one of his ideas, he has no principles, scruples or even a grain of decency (and taught Starmer's lot everything they know).

Can't wait to hear Gary Neville's response to Ratcliffe's racist fact-free rant.

Given how keen Neville was to sell his "progressive principles" for Qatari money, I won't be holding my breath for anything particularly enlightening.

If your response to Jimmy Ratcliffe is "He's got a point" you should know this - if it were up to him he'd be sending your kids up chimneys.

This man is not your friend. He doesn't have your wellbeing at heart. In fact, his sort is a threat to your objective class interests.

Those hoping for a renewal of Labour values with the end of the Starmer era will be disappointed.

Labour is still firmly in the clutches of those who determinedly purged it of its real values & reduced it to the amoral shell it is today.

Starmer will be replaced. Mandelson will be replaced.

09.02.2026 19:59 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

This is a shocking demonstration of what happens when the guardrails of decency are removed. Mandelson et al. dedicated their careers to destroying *real* values of Labour & politicians like Benn & Corbyn who couldn't be bought.

New Labour's legacy is a squalid debasement to power & wealth.

05.02.2026 11:24 ๐Ÿ‘ 6 ๐Ÿ” 2 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Jeremy Corbyn - lifelong peace activist and anti-apartheid campaigner - was expelled from Labour. A man who cannot be bought.

Peter Mandelson was allowed to voluntarily resign.

But Starmer's Labour definitely is *not* an instrument to protect wealth & power. Got that? Good.

This "infantilising" is prefigured in neoliberalism. Von Mises said humans had only a *basic* rationality that is augmented by market-driven practices - a kind of "homo agens". Humans deprived of independent thinking are thus vulnerable to demagogy. Trumpism is a facet of this neoliberal misanthrope

So, nearly all the people responsible for turning Britain into a skip fire are now in Reform.

This is the same Reform that is promising to fix said skip fire, and is currently leading in the polls.

This is the state of UK politics. How utterly depressing.

I concluded long before Keir Starmer won his loveless landslide that the Labour party is no longer a vehicle for working people & must be destroyed.

We can add weakness to the list of betrayal & deceit.

Labour is a vehicle for wealth & power, an instrument of Capital

Donald Trump is destroying the facade of legitimacy that cloaked US imperialism for 80 years. He's saying the quiet bits out loud.

We enter the age of disaster nationalism where great nations dispense with fiction of "international rules" & European leaders have absolutely no idea how to react.

20.01.2026 12:32 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

The problem with Starmer's approach is that it presumes the post-war international order is still intact and that Trump is some sort of temporary aberration. Or worse, that Trump himself can be managed.

Neither is true. Starmer is relying on a defunct playbook of an age that is disintegrating.

19.01.2026 17:10 ๐Ÿ‘ 11 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Keir tarmer's "de-escalation" strategy founders on his presumption that the "special relationship" can be preserved because Trumpism is fleeting. This fails to recognise deeper political transformations in the US - Trumpian post-fascism will long outlive Trump's administration, sadly.

19.01.2026 11:23 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

The militarisation of law enforcement is a key symptom of a society's fascist tilt. As is performative military actions abroad.

Both are key indicators of US decline, as the regime turns on its own citizens & engages in foreign spectacles as distraction.

Trump - the "transactional president" - is without a political concept in his head. Every move is about "the deal". But those behind him *do* have a political strategy - Bannon, Miller, Vance - and it is they who should worry us. The 1984 "spheres of influence" dream is theirs & it is becoming real.

07.01.2026 17:33 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Perhaps we should thank Trump for one thing: for decades the US cloaked its imperial greed in the language of international law, democracy, freedom e.g. Vietnam, Iraq.

Trump has cut the BS - the US is a gangster state that uses its power to control whoever falls into its "sphere of influence".

05.01.2026 18:27 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Starmer continues to debase himself at Trump's feet on the pretext of "UK national interest". At what point does Starmer's failure to recognise the end of the rules-based order begin to work against UK national interest? His fantasy of a revival of the old post-war international order is dangerous.

05.01.2026 17:46 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

The people expressing surprise re: Trump's attack on #Venezuela are those who still think the international rules-based order post-1945 exists. It doesn't. This is the new world split into spheres of influence, post-democratic world of chaos & unprecedented nation-state savagery.

This is how civilisations end - the debasement and instrumentalisation of its own values in the service of grotesque misanthrope, an insecure, paranoid elite turning on those who still hold to its original vision. This is how Rome disintegrated. History now repeats itself. #GretaThunberg

When historians of the future document how and why western civilisation disintegrated, why it collapsed in on its own contradictions, they will note incidents like this. The militarisation of police, the demonisation of humanitarian protest & valorisation of genocide.

Are we really supposed to debate whether Trump incited an insurrection to overthrow a democratic election? He instructed the mob to "fight like hell", failed to distance himself from the rioters & pardoned them. This is how far into an Orwellian "war is peace" post-truth dystopia we have fallen.
