A sunny walk with Bill finally, Gorse in flower, a broken lamppost with sculpture, the overgrown remains of Mangotsfield station and Bill stood in one of the old station windows.
PS Gorse flowers smell of coconut donβt you know.

Crafts of many types, including silver jewellery, lapidary, book binding, watercolours and leather work to name a few. Also a fan of warhammer miniatures, Cornwall, Devon and Dorset. Pictures of all of the above will most definitely appear here.

Thank you. Seeing yours reminds me I need to start painting again.
I love a barn owl painting. Hereβs one I did a few years ago. My sister named it Brian, one showed up the day my father passed away, he was called Brian.
Number 4 is nearing completion finally. I just wish I had more time to paint, Iβam loving these minis.
I like orks but these are a whole different ball game.
My own colour scheme for these, I like to think of these hiding in woodland waiting to strike.

Finished at last. Now have material for doing bases.
Some daffodils to brighten your day. After the awful weather we have been having of late, a bit of sunshine yellow.
All six seeds germinated, These things grow real quick to start. Research needed to find out when I can repot them into their own pots, Anyone advice on that?
Chinese Wisteria.
@bsky.app is there a time limit on pinned posts? Mine has disappeared.
Test casting of a new mould, it came out ok(ish). It is slightly mis-shapen. So I need to make sure next it is left to set on a perfectly flat surface. Happy with the surface finish though, couple of small bubbles.
It has now been sealed with watered down PVA. Needs to dry fully before paint.
WIP and so it begins again with the next one. Yes I paint individual minis as opposed to squad painting, itβs just a personal preference. I know itβs much slower doing it this way. Iβll get there eventually, itβs a marathon not a sprint for me. #citiesofsigmar #40k #minipainting
Chinese wisteria really growing well. Now have their first true leaves. I have a fourth one just starting to grow.
Not a lot happening in my world right now, itβs kind of on hold at the moment due to the father in law being in hospital and things are not good.
So Iβll give you just an update on how the Chinese wisteria are doing, still only the 3 seedlings, but they growing nicely.
Chinese wisteria seeds have germinated and started growing. 3 out of 6 so far.
Iβm surprised they came up so quickly.

Wip I have finally finished the first of the fusiliers, little bit of touching up to do now I have attached his right arm.
Not the head that comes in the kit.
Cities of Sigmar.
And why shouldnβt you name them??
The head has been fitted and painting has started.
Had to take my car in for service on Friday, And itβs close to a WH store, Which always a naughty purchase.

Demolding done. Now 24hrs to fully dry out. Then a quick soak in watered down PVA to seal the plaster ready for paint. After paint a few coats of clear varnish to water proof them.

Checks wallet. Dam it, maybe next month.
Plaster of Paris is now poured. Iβll have to wait for it to set hard before I can demold it. 4 plant pots and 1 tea light holder.
Pots for bonsai when they germinate. Tea light holder is for stock.

Happy birthday Monty

Hot English mustard and fried onions
The after market heads have arrived for fusiliers.
Sallet type helmets.
I know they are not really the right look for the minis. I just love the look of the helmets
Sorry to hear of your loss.
Vision is going funny, precursor to a migraine.
Just what I need.
A plan for this year is to start walking sections of the S+D railway. Starting in Bath and heading south.
I wonder how much of it you can walk on the old trackbed.
I will post pics as I go.
Itβs a homemade soup kind of day, spiced sweet potatoe with croutons and fried chorizo on top.
A conical Holly tree coveted in snow, under an almost full moon.
Snow under the moon
Seeds have finished soaking.
All are now planted in damp compost.
Three pots are now in the fridge for up to 16 weeks to trick them into thinking itβs winter. This is called stratification.
The forth pot can stay at room temperature.
Japanese cedar.
Red maple.
Chinese wisteria.
Judas tree.
