Meant to say Classic Who, not Doctor Who

Definitely! Being able to explore and fall in love with more obscure elements of the universe is one of the reasons why Doctor Who is so special to me.

This tweet basically implies that if you love the character who is not one of the obvious NuWho favourites, then your favourite is irrelevant and you are some kind of freaky weirdo. Fuck that.

The situation described here is literally unimaginable. I’ve never ever seen people comparing NuWho favourites to obscure secondary characters from EU.

Not people pretending to be victims of elitism just to shit on those who love / prefer more niche elements of Doctor Who or some elements of EU 😭😭😭

10/10 Doctor Who

The fact that it’s THIRD in my s25 ranking doesn’t mean that it’s significantly weaker or something. For me, it’s a testament to how great s25 is. (And then the fact that s26 is just as good…)

Such a powerful moment. The Doctor has just defeated Davros by humiliating him and tricking him into erasing most of the Daleks from existence. And then he goes one step further and destroys one of the remaining Daleks purely with words. It’s as cold as it gets.

This whole dialogue might be one of my all-time favourite Doctor Who scenes. It’s the best proof that not every little exchange should serve the purely pragmatic purpose of β€œmoving the plot forward”. There should always be moments of wholesome contemplation like this in the show.

I love little moments like this so much.

The original still appeals to the modern audiences. Modern audiences are still capable of appreciating 10 episodes of some of the best TV ever made. 2/2

I kinda get why it’s done the way it’s done and it’s cool to have at least some part of The War Games colourised, but can we not describe it as improved version that will appeal more to β€œtoday’s modern audiences”? 1/2

Can I just say that this show means the whole world to me. It’s the most fitting day to say it, but I think about how much I love it pretty much every day. I hope it will go on for at least another 61 years.

I’ve been rewatching Poirot with David Suchet constantly since I was a kid, and all this time I keep admiring its finesse and cinematography. Even earlier episodes that are less serious and supposedly less cinematic have some stunning moments, like this chase from The Third Floor Flat.

Impossible for me to choose between Spearhead from Space, The Eleventh Hour, Deep Breath and The Woman Who Feel to Earth. Each of these introduces the new Doctor in a very unique and beautiful way, while also giving the audience the idea of what to expect from the forthcoming era.

Could someone please recommend a Big Finish story with strong horror vibes that is not an important part of any arc? Looking for something in the vein of Night Thoughts. Might feature any Doctor.

When I think of fun in Doctor Who I think about this scene and about The Mark of the Rani in general. For me, it’s the epitome of fun. I could watch it every day and never get bored.
