It’s a perfect Christmas read, it’s only 60 pages long including the afterword which is where you can find the only mention of strange & norrell. Think same universe rather than sequel so it can be read as a standalone.
Just about to start The Wood At Midwinter, thankfully it’s a lot slimmer than Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell!
