The converse of millennials being the only generation to know how to use a computer is that I have no idea what I'm doing when I use a VOIP telephone but still have a job that occasionally makes me do so

Tallarico's ads coming on in between a barrage of MAGA freaks trying to one-up each other for everything from senate to dogcatcher is doing a great job at making him seem Normal
The East of Eden movie adaptation to focused entirely on the last section; the show should obviously focus entirely on the Trasks trying to invent refrigerated produce shipping
Particularly thankful for the opportunity to serve as a primary author, including serving as a lead on our ~100 page Framework chapter, a few of The Plan's Elements, and putting my self-taught Adobe skills to the test with the design and layout of the document.
Very excited to celebrate the release of the 2025 update to BP Antonio Reynoso's Comprehensive Plan for Brooklyn. I'm very proud of the work our office has done in the last year to build out The Plan into 378 pages of analysis, strategies, and actions for the city's greatest borough.

This administration is like a second pandemic. The biggest issue is all the avoidable deaths, but life is also marginally worse in a million little ways, and the foregone output (economic, academic, etc) will loom over us for decades to come
there was a brief moment in covid where people flirted with this
why do i have to drive my car less often when exxon mobil runs a pollution factory in the middle of nowhere connected to nothing that we can just shut down instead
I think Dems should tactically retreat from all the deep red seats and clear the lane for an Osborn-type candidate to try and seed a new center-right party. That said Kansas seems like the last reachable seat for a huge blue wave year so I could see rationale for sticking it out there
one thing I've become very convinced of is the need for the civil service to do waaayyyy more propaganda. like you should know about how NOAA makes the weather app on your phone work. you should know that Uncle Sam runs GPS. you should know how impressive the US census data collection effort is, etc
NO KINGS is extremely effective because itβs simple, an extremely widely held belief, and gets right to the core of Trumpβs assault without having to use words lots of people donβt understand
No kings, no traffic! Congestion pricing works
I will vote for the first candidate who tells me they're going to make the biggest government possible. Reacher-sized agencies. Braun Strowman-level social benefits. Government so big it starts belching out National Parks and free healthcare. Chungus State.
stop saying things like βdo not waste timeβ on this
trump calling himself king while declaring an end to a democratically enacted law is not a βdistractionβ it is the essence of the evil at hand
Parliamentary style government is starting to look really nice, would love it if we had a mechanism for a no confidence vote and a new election instead of impeachment and waiting four years
This whole gambit has been such a disaster. Delaying congestion pricing raised its salience as a campaign issue, ensured that it would be a red-meat topic for the new admin to target, and soft-launched the idea that the executive is not bound by the legislative branch.
I'm not sure how we reverse this trend, which seems to extend to so many things post-covid. But it feels more and more apparent that remote options like asynchronous learning are not straightforward, liberating innovations
Believe the hype!! Crazy how peaceful cities are when you don't have drivers in your ear making them nasty
I know the grad school IT department hates to see me logging in for the first time in years
Oh you mean known California Transplant Joe DiMaggio??
This oneβs pretty good
Nice argument, unfortunately for you I have already depicted myself as smiling Janno unveiling the congestion relief zone and you as a driver circling the block for parking for the 80th time
Itβs happening! Tonight, MTA Chair & CEO Janno Lieber unveiled one of the signs at the entrance to the Congestion Relief Zone. Tolling begins at midnight.
