The only reason I don't is that I then remind myself that this iteration of AI isn't intelligent and therefore has no capacity to hate.

I get the impression from other responses that he's doing a deliberate snark. AKA, Poe's Law time.
(The only reason I'm not saying barred entirely is that there's the slim possibility he encounters a situation that does need a lawyer...)
From what's reported, it sure looks like this particular person might be a good one to ban from being allowed to file suits ever again without the full vetting and approval of a good dozen lawyers, 2/3 of whom have to be lawyers who have never consulted with him before.
that's fair.
I'd disagree with the first half. You need an artistic/composition eye and a good sense of language AND a sense for storytelling. Many mediums require only one of the three, or only 2.
Or that's how I'm hearing it. As someone who was accused of being a bit too much on the realism side. Our hostess above may have a better take.
Realism: accurately reproduces the real-world cadence, occasionally including the awkward and sacrificing beauty in favour of that accuracy
Verisimilitude: accurately reproduces how the dialogue feels, sacrificing realism when it clashes with what sounds more vivid.
Of those specific two, flight has more obvious benefits IMO.
Mine is knowing the Magic Word (or Action) that ACTUALLY helps a depressive/suicidal/traumatized person feel better in the moment and advances their healing, or gets a schizophrenic out of a dangerous emotional or paranoid spiral and grounds them.
I figure we'd all have to switch up our tasks day to day... although if we're merging back, maybe the new splits aren't the same as the old splits because they have the memories of having been *all* the multiple mes, so they only experience the cohesive collective self as their past state of being.
I mean, if not, it's really only useful in warmer climes, too...
Amazing how these guys will be all like look, we're going over there to liberate the Iranian people, and then a minute later talk about murdering anyone and everyone in the country we're supposedly liberating.
When I was in 8th grade, my civics teacher said that one of the great problems with democracy was that the populace could just vote themselves bread and circuses. As a resident of Minneapolis, I would like to shout "bullshit" from the rafters. /1
Clearly someone who assumed Mark Knopfler thought that heteros were dire...
I think people pointed out years ago that genAI would be weaponized by governments and used to justify war crimes, because once you outsource mass civilian death to a machine, you can just say the machine made a mistake. Israel & the US have been bombing children non-stop for 2+ years.
AI scooping up, or fed, outdated information and thereby murdering children?
Video of the weird round vessel, because that seemed the best way to show both that it has a snake wrapped around it and a small labyrinth hiding on its flat base, both still a bit rough (snakey needs a face...).
A handled cup, a bit tall to be defined as a mug, with a slight taper to its shape.
The bottom of the tapered mug, showing a series of stepped concentric rings.
All three mugs shows so far (tallish one, width one, barrel shaped one) with their handles (a bit soft and inclined to sag if not braced) resting against a fourth vessel, a nearly spherical shape with something wrapped around it, hard to tell in this photo.
A mug in dark brown clay with a rounded curve to the body, a bit too narrow for a cappuccino mug or a bowl (but I repeat myself) but wider than a typical mug.
The same mug as image 1 but held in a hand to show that the base has a spiral line (the faint line circling around the side is also technically a spiral but not as obviously so)
A tankard style mug with several bands around it and a barrel shape. The handle could use a bit more clean-up.
The bottom of the tankard/mug, showing concentric rings that match the barrel lines.
Pottery stuff:
Ooh, at least one for MY watch list...
I do recommend it. Musical with many excellent bits which have been redone in pop culture numerous times.
Angela Lansbury plays the young, beautiful, but evil, princess.
Or, based on a side thread here, apparently Devin's Cow?
Oh, wait, that's an in-joke (for a film just over two decades older than I am...)
How dare I?
No, the pellet with the poison is in the vessel with the pestle.
Hail, Pterry, full of rage, the muse is with thee. Blessed art thou among authors, and blessed is the fruit of thy brain, Discworld.
Hail Pterry, Father of Great A'Tuin, who channeled rage into compassion blessed are thy words.
And I say that as someone who DID go.
They released a recording of the Stardew Valley Symphony of Seasons concert online, just until May 26th. It's as close to watching the concert live as you can get without paying. Watch here (time stamps help skip the opening pause and the intermission which was stuffed with merch commercials...):
I wonder if people think you are implying "be nice to people so they can help your career because it's who you know that gets you published", not, "be kind to people" (full stop).
(the switch from be kind to be nice is intentional. Kind has depth and is intrinsic, nice is surface level).
