Really helpful introduction to Bluesky for those of you that have recently moved over β¬οΈ
Thanks for pulling this together @uoylibrary.bsky.social π
Nice to explore BlueSky with the UTA team today! We will be posting about all things academic development. Give us a follow β‘οΈ @manmetuta.bsky.social
So gutted I missed it. Looks amazing!
A virtual certificate with text "Celebrating 10M users on Bluesky, #9,992,214, Leanne Fitton βͺ@leannefitton.bsky.socialβ¬, joined on Sep 14, 2024"
It took so long to come through that I thought I might have been the 10millionth to sign up π Pretty close though! Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #9,992,214!
Thanks for highlighting this important issue π
Just to clarify the activity looks great, not the results of the polls π«£
These look great! Iβm working on a mythbusting workshop with similar themes so itβs helpful to see how you have tackled it.
This is a great episode exploring what is lost when generative AI is used to get over a blank page. open.spotify.com/episode/3LHN...
Yesterday, I attended a fantastic workshop on creativity and innovation in leadership. It involved wheres wally, a magic wand, a treasure hunt and postcards! Left feeling inspired to have more fun. Thank you @mairbull.bsky.social and John Lean π€©ππ»
Tree in a playground next to a bike shed. Students are walking past.
Me proudly holding my newly planted tree.
Back in 2017 I planted a tree and now itβs taking centre stage on Waterloo Road! It looks like itβs thriving! π€©π³ Not going to lie though, itβs weird seeing Jason Manford telling students off in your old classroom π
I did look for confirmation, but couldnβt find anything π€·ββοΈ I wish it was easier to find out these thing.
Some great tips in this π
My personal favourite is using the reactions in Outlook instead of sending an acknowledgement email. It saves time and has a lower carbon footprint (at least, I think it does!).
Nice to hear from students π Knowing how to use the tools is only a tiny part of AI literacy. A big thing that educators in HE can support students with is to be critical of the outputs. Luckily, that needs skills that HE is already well equipped to teach. wonkhe.com/blogs/access...
