Law enforcement who saved lives during the January 6 insurrection at the Capitol are heroes and should be forever honored.
Congress passed a law 4 years ago mandating this memorial within a year. There should’ve been a proper ceremony for the unveiling while Members are in the Capitol.
At the same time, Kristi Noem should not be let off the hook for her conduct during her tenure as Secretary, especially as the President prepares a consolation role for her.
Trump thinks he can wave a magic wand to make this disaster of his own making disappear. He can’t. No matter who replaces Noem, their actions will be directed by the President & Stephen Miller. Congress & the American people must hold them accountable for the damage they’ve inflicted on communities.
These illegal operations are part of a desperate attempt to distract from his failed policies and stay in power, and it puts American lives at risk.

These words ring true in this nation today just as it did in 1963. We must remain steadfast in our commitment to treating our neighbors with respect and fighting for justice for all.
ICE took two Princeton residents into custody, including a father of 4 after dropping off his son at school. The failed practices of ICE have led not to community safety but to the breaking up of families. The pretense that their mission is to deport dangerous criminals has been shown to be a lie.
