But I can almost mistake the title track, Unnamed Feeling & All Within My Hands as real songs. I guess Frantic is endearing.

With Jason Newstead, Metallica was a band that was still interested in making good music in any form they deemed fit. Sure they hit a home run with the Black Album but ...Justice sounds too lifeless and the Loads have too much bloat, even if the singles were all good to great.

Barring their original bassist who exist in demos, we start with the first three albums with Cliff Burton. Metallica was vital, lively and innovative. Cliffs death also killed the spark that made Metallica legends.

For a band that hasn't done a good studio album since 1991 nor made an interesting song since 2008....Metallica is my comfort band. Its also nice that they have such delineated eras by bassist.
