I'm supposed to manually update alerting thresholds for literally *thousands* of applications based on their actual error rate. I don't see why my coworkers oppose my plan to set everything to 5% baseline and create a company-wide emergency just to narrow down the apps to adjust.

It'd save ME time.

It's pure propaganda, but we already know this. Just a detail I hadn't noticed before. As viewers, we have to ride that line between accepting the world as presented to us to enjoy the story while also being able to dissect it to see what it's really saying.

But I realized something else about the Incredibles: there are NO Super Villains! All the villains we see use technology: Syndrome and Screen Slaver, of course, but also Bomb Voyage and the Underminer. All actual Supers are heroic. Makes sense, since I am sure Brad counts himself among their ranks.

Let's try again: With all the Pixar discourse, was thinking about how I still like The Incredibles and Ratatouille despite Brad Bird's weird bio-essentialist beliefs being foundational to the themes of those films--that Greatness can come from the lowest of places, but is still determined at birth.
