🐆 Leopards and lions share the same landscapes but rarely at the same time, avoiding risky encounters while keeping prime hunting grounds.
🦁 Lions stick to their schedule. At this scale, hyaenas don’t affect lion movements.
🐾 Hyaenas often move into areas within 2 hours of lions or leopards, and return on consecutive nights. They track opportunities, whether scavenging or hunting.
🔍 Zoom in: All three species use the same areas, but timing is everything. Fine-scale patterns show a mix of avoidance and opportunistic following.
