I thought this was a really good podcast @shirleymush.bsky.social is a really incisive interlocutor, and I think we got into some great, wide-ranging questions. You should listen imho.
Also, yes I can confirm I am hilarious.

Photo of the cover of the book ‘Resisting Erasure: Capital, Imperialism and Race in Palestine’ by Adam Hanieh, Robert Knox and Rafeef Ziadah
Loved this excellent primer on the political economic context of the Zionist settler-colonial project in Palestine from @versobooks.bsky.social. It’s succinct but also far-reaching in scope, and could be an amazing resource for groups looking to get on the same page in terms of big-picture analysis.
Adam Hanieh, Robert Knox, and Rafeef Ziadah, Resisting Erasure
NEW: Hardwiring Normalization -- Infrastructures, Extraction and Gaza's Future
Rafeef Ziadah encapsulates the material politics that tie the Abraham Accords to the plans for reconstruction in Gaza, and the continued dispossession of Palestinians.

Still beaming from teaching with this today - it’s incredible to witness the ease with which students make sense of complex theory when it comes to applying it to the most urgent contexts. Thanks for writing it @pashukanist.bsky.social @rafeefz.bsky.social and Adam!
Rafeef Ziadah writes on “Hardwiring Normalization—Infrastructures, Extraction and Gaza’s Future”.

1st, lead focus article by @rafeefz.bsky.social on development as erasure in #Palestine & #genocide in #Gaza
Excerpt from Resisting Erasure, it reads: Moreover, when solidarity with Palestine is framed as divisive or ‘too political’, what is really being argued is that the lives and struggles of racialised people outside the West do not belong at the centre of political and labour movements. This attitude treats the concerns of certain workers – those who are predominantly white or in the Global North – as the ‘real’ working-class issues, while marginalising those of others. Bread-and-butter racism is not just about what is opposed but also about what is excluded. It is itself a racialising logic.
Oh, talking about Palestine is too fucking 'sectarian' is it? Why should Gaza be an issue in Gorton and Denton?
To quote myself, Adam Hanieh and @rafeefz.bsky.social:
For those asking what Palestine reveals about the world - and what it demands of us - this book is one small intervention in a much larger fight.
We hope you’ll read it, share it, and organise with it. www.versobooks.com/en-gb/produc...
Why is Palestine a defining fault line of 21st‑century politics? Resisting Erasure places Israeli settler‑colonialism within imperialism, race, and fossil capitalism—not just humanitarian / legal narratives. Officially out & available in paperback & ebook www.versobooks.com/en-gb/produc...
This is an absolutely indispensable read that provides a sharp, comprehensive materialist analysis of Palestinian oppression. Get it, read it, discuss it with comrades, use it to inform your movement’s means and ends. @pashukanist.bsky.social @rafeefz.bsky.social
