Yeah. The story is interesting, but the design of the Silo just doesn't work, particularly with what you see later in the series. No spoilers. 😏
In truth, it's more like Jules Verne sci-fi than modern sci-fi. There's a whole lot technological handwaving going on, to the extent that if you're advanced enough to build the Silo, you're advanced enough to not need it in the first place.
Long story short, this would require technology significantly in advance of what we have now. And if the Silo was built with that advanced technology, why are all their computers from the 1990s?
So I've been watching the Silo tv series. They'd need to have at least a thousand levels devoted to agriculture, and that's assuming their food was strictly vegetarian. The Silo would need to be about 10 miles deep, and regulating air pressure would require enormous energy.
