I already know a fair bit from listening to stories from the women in my life, but that won't come naturally to me since... Well. It's not how I've lived. That's not an excuse though. I just have to be diligent when thinking about these things as I write and draw.

Been researching Shojo manga, to understand the difference between it and Shonen manga. (before just outright trying to read one) It seems like the creative process itself is identical. The main difference comes from culture and lived experience, which makes this a bit harder for me...

I need all artists to know that using 3D models in your art is not cheating. Those free-to-use 3D models are literally there to make your life easier. Stop being so hard on yourself and just trace that 3D object. You don't need to be able to perfectly draw every object ever from memory!!

The webcomic artist anxiety of constantly working on your comic, but it's not something you can make a social media post out of, so you're in a constant state of worry that people are going to forget about your comic due to taking too long to update.
Or maybe it's my severe anxiety. Perhaps both.

Like, the actress is good. It's Tails' actress again. And his dialogue is on point, but... The voice itself is missing that bratty, mischievous boy energy he used to have back in Heroes and the 4Kids era.

That's not an issue I have with "the writing" itself, it has to be there for clarity. It just something with the medium that bothers me. Like, I was visualizing what was going on, but always going "oh, that line could be cut" when imagining it as a comic or animation. Also, Charmy's voice is weird.

Finally listened to the Chaotix Casefiles, now that I was titilated enough. It's all really good stuff and I can't wait to hear its conclusion, but I just can't help but notice all the "repeat what just happened out loud" dialogue that kind of has to be there since it's a podcast.

For a Mario day, it sure was a good day to be a Sonic fan.

I think my one gripe with accessibility in games, is the death of button mashing/stick rotating minigames in Dragon Ball games. I’m not against accessibility, but when I barely get how the beam struggle and rush minigames in SZ work and can’t get the hang of them… At least let it be an option.

So uh... I didn't like Infinite much in Forces beyond his design and voice... And now he has returned, gotten a new, just as kick ass voice as before, AND it's when the series has the most cohesive writing it has ever had?
If these writers can turn me around on ZAVOK, they can make Infinite awesome.

I love that we as a society have decided that every single game that can possibly be modded should and will be modded to have Thomas the Tank Engine in it.

Which is useless if I want to learn the trick to make a character that evokes the same feelings that Leon does in others, without it just being a Leon 2.0.

Sometimes, being analytical about craft can be a pain, because now I am trying to uncover what ‘exactly’ makes Leon so attractive to everyone under the sun. It’s harder than you think. Since I have eyes, it’s hard to not just write «guy hot» and leave that as the conclusion.

Like, personally, my comic work won’t ever be ‘focused’ directly on these themes, because I don’t think I can do them justice at that level. But I’ll do my best to include them and give them appropriate spotlight in due time.

I get not being «all that into» making stuff with LGBTQ+ themes in focus on an individual level… Especially when that isn’t your personal life experience… But this is fucking Pixar. «He» doesn’t have to make that himself. Just fund, fascilitate and publish it with minimal involvement.

My favorite Takahashi anecdote is that he had such deep dissatisfaction for Shinzo Abe and the admin at the time, he drew this picture while urging his instagram followers to go vote for something better. He got crazy backlash for it and had to apologize though.
