It is the best!
It's somewhat heartening, that after a decade plus of highly funded anti trans campaigning, they're still a pretty small minority of bigots
A story in two parts . . .
Party supporting trans rights sees membership triple
Party opposing trans rights sees membership half
Maybe attacking marginalised folk is not a vote winner...
I've also been looking this up today - force 8 gale sounds much worse than "45mph gusts"
It's windy up here too
<grumbles>
Probably my least favourite type of weather
Apparently at least 25 WIs have now closed as a result of threats by “gender critical feminists”.
GCs do not represent (cis)women.
WOW, supporters of the trans inclusive party are the people most likely to think much more needs to be done to reach gender equality.
Shock horror 😲, Almost like trans rights and women's rights are not actually in conflict but mutually supportive of each other ... Colour me shocked n all that.

That looks like a desk where useful things happen
'gordon'
A very simple diagram showing radar, a chaff cloud, a confused missile and an airplane. The confused missile is aiking for the chaff cloud and not the airplane.
THE CHAFF PROJECT
Hi! Are you cis in the UK and you'd like to support trans rights? Great!
How: buy a trans flag pin and wear it in public.
Why: chaff is an overwhelming amount of false positives so that when a missile gets close to the plane, it hits the chaff and not the plane.

Some good news for a change
BBC celebrating having helped harass a woman out of her job.
Key point
This is our news read out:
"Service providers may lawfully allow trans women to use women’s facilities without being forced to open them to cis men" and "the EHRC’s exclusionary draft Code of Practice does not accurately reflect the law and the Minister will have to send it back to be rewritten."
Enough now
Let’s be absolutely clear:
Any politician found in possession of indecent images of children is a child sex abuser
Any politician who chooses to maintain a relationship with a known abuser is, at a very minimum, enabling child abuse
Any politician rewarding these people is complicit
That's fair - it's not at all obvious these days that it used to be way more accessible and generally popular
A little harsh on opera 😅
Tim Allan, who just quit as Starmer's director of comms, was on the board of the trans-eliminationist hate group "Sex Matters", whose director of advocacy Helen Joyce urged transphobes to get through to "decision makers" so that the "numbers" of trans people could be "reduced." That's what they did.
One of the wickedest things Wes Streeting has ever done is push politically convenient falsehoods about suicide rates amongst young trans people. We have new data from the National Child Mortality Database that exposes the truth he tried to cover up.
Heartbreaking and completely preventable
Those responsible must be held to account

Thanks for that earworm
What a way to make a living
Since the transphobic dog whistle/air horn of "trans people are an affluent white demographic" is doing the rounds again, remember that it is an absolute crock of shit and you should call it out accordingly. Here's some info on the transgender pay gap in the US:
Graphic reading 'the UK Government-commissioned 'Sullivan Review' of sex and gender in data and research collection threatens British research and trans inclusion. Here's why.'
📣 Today @felicitycallard.bsky.social and I have published the first peer-reviewed response to the 'Sullivan Review' of research and data on sex and gender.
doi.org/10.1111/tran...
The Review could threaten trans rights and inclusion, erode academic freedom, and undermine research quality.
Sort it out, folks
