If you press it immediately, you're pretty much cis.
If you hesitate, you might be trans in some way.
If you destroy the button, you're trans.

One thing that helped me discover I was trans was to hear "the button" question in reverse.
You wake up in the opposite birth gender body, you have a nice day and everything, THEN you're presented the button to revert back to your birth gender.
