I think I'm starting to hate how I notice that videos shot on iPhones have almost no shadows on them whatsoever, so contrast is non-existent and it looks strange and unnatural.

The last of the Best Picture Oscar nominees I had yet to see. I think the trailer implied it was a more conventional thriller, so I had to adjust my expectations somewhat.
The Secret Agent: Wagner Moura is a professor in hiding after he is politically targeted in this drama set in 70s Brazil during carnival. A complex web of corruption and intrigue gives a sense of the deadly "mischief" of the period, and a pervasive sense of menace, but also haunting too.
New Projector Short! Seann William Scott and Fabianne Therese make the mistake of going to the woods, and encountering the porcelain-masked killer Dolly in Shudder's horror film, a throwback to 70s grindhouse - which is to say that it's basically off-brand Texas Chainsaw. youtube.com/shorts/xPado...
It does appear that the combination of the subject matter and a scene where a boy admits to secretly taking photos made it a 15. I think if it was just subject, it might have just squeaked at 12.

It was very funny. No idea why they decided to only film in such a tiny area. The London stuff genuinely confused me, because you can see Bristol Aquarium signage!

I think the most I got out of this was trying to spot where they filmed, namely Bath and especially around the Bristol Aquarium and harbourside, which somehow plays London (!!!).
Mother's Pride: One-hit-wonder Jonno Davies returns home to the failing pub run by his dad Martin Clunes and brother James Buckley, and tries to save it by brewing their own ale, in this comedy-drama from the makers of Fisherman's Friends. So its very formulaic, but lacks hop and tastes bitter.
