I like that. I grate a mixture of cheddar, parm, gouda, Jarlsberg or whatever I have on hand. Cheeses next to the sourdough and thin sliced ham and hot Hatch green chile in the middle, grill...enjoy!
Cecil's is good. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Loved the Lincoln Dell. There used to be a small deli in downtown Minneapolis called The Brothers that had a Pepe Sandwich, hot pastrami and hot pepper cheese on grilled rye. 50 years ago that was my favorite.
There might have been some cheese involved but not sure. This was the late 70s.
Guacamole, bacon, alfalfa sprouts, thin sliced tomatoes & onions on a crusty multi grain bread. There was a sandwich bar at a restaurant on the West Bank near UofMN. Heaven.

They are. Do you have photos of your girl? My partner and I are getting on in years, so after, in his case, 57 years and me with 46 years of owning Irish setters, Robbie is our last one.
When she was in a false pregnancy, my Irish setter girl would 'nurse' her rubber squeaky toys, then plop them into her food dish. In the photo she has five toys in her mouth, but two are hidden behind the three in front.
We live an hour from Glacier NP in NW Montana and two hours from the Canadian border. The population swells with tourist activity in the spring through fall. Usually. With the Park Service under fire as well as Canadian tariffs, we'll see how many visit this year.

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.
