On 4 July 1942 he was drowned in a barrel of fecal matter in the Penal Company, where he was placed for refusing to trample a rosary.
13 March 1943 | Germans began a 2-day liquidation of the ghetto in Krakow.
Hundreds of Jews were killed in the streets. Some 8 thousand people who were able to work, were transferred to the forced labor camp for Jews in Plaszow.
The remaining people were deported to #Auschwitz.

Pantscho Wladigerow was born #OTD in 1899. He was the music director at Deutsches Theatre in Berlin from 1920. In 1932 he returned to Sofia, where he was appointed professor in Piano, Chamber Music and Composition at the State Academy of Music.

It was Karl Blessinger's 1939 "Mendelssohn, Meyerbeer, Mahler: Three Chapters of Jewry in Music as the Key to Music History of the 19th Century" that established him as one of the prominent anti-Semitic musicologists of the 3rd Reich. He died #OTD in 1962.
