This is an annual event featuring speakers, laughs, good food, lively auctions, and a real good time.
UAS Campus Kickoff 2025 was held on Friday, August 29. The Tongass Democrats volunteered to host a voting event. We had five jars each labeled with a current political issue and the students voted with gumballs and spectators watched the jars fill up. Climate change was their #1 issue.
Tongass Democrats marched in the Juneau Fourth of July parade with our theme of “We the People”. We had riders and marchers with signs expressing our support for the US Constitution and our rights.

The Tongass Democrats hosted their annual picnic Saturday. Guest speakers wer Representative HD4 Sara Hannan, Representative HD3 Andi Story, District B Senator Jesse Kiehl, and Alaska Democratic Party Chair Eric Croft.
