They're vital places where people bump into neighbours, meet friends, shop, grab a coffee or pizza, get a haircut, hang out. Our communities would be poorer without them.

Hospitality businesses are being pushed to the brink by the National Insurance hike.
Pubs, restaurants & hotels warn this jobs tax will make it even harder to stay open and keep staff on. The Government must exempt hospitality or risk businesses going under.
Expanding Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton airports will add 92 million tonnes of carbon dioxide to our carbon footprint by 2050.
While we must grow the economy, we must not do so at the expense of the environment.
Ministers cannot allow this to spiral any further and must urgently grip this situation.
That must start with a government plan to winterproof the NHS and make this the last winter crisis.
