This bill would give Trump extraordinary power. You cannot vote for this. I know we don't want to shut down government, but it's more important that we don't give him the power that is in this bill.
@ashleyallison.bsky.social thank you for standing up for teachers. Hearing others blames teachers for student failures is heartbreaking. Students are struggling due to lack of food, housing, drug and gang influences, peer pressure, cyberbullying, and cell phones. Teachers are not to blame.
They are making protesting illegal. That means any organization that holds a protest would have employees ineligible for public service loan forgiveness. This is criminal in itself. I'm glad there will be lawsuits, because every organization deserves the right to free speech and assembly.
