I understand for narrative structure since it's the final arc of the season and you want to tie it into the rest, but it does feel weird to bring Wapol into Baroque Works. He even got his Devil Fruit from Crocodile?

I do like how well they've sold Nami and Vivi's friendship. They start very catty when Vivi is still Miss Wednesday, but even then, the two actors have a clear chemistry that makes their eventual friendship sell even better.

Overall, the Little Garden arc was alright. Everything that wasn't the giants and Ussop I feel pretty "Meh" about. Nothing overtly bad, but nothing I was super excited about, though that's also how I feel about the arc in the manga.

I love how they handled Broggy and Dorry, though Broggy got the lion's share of good lines.

I appreciate that even the villains get costume changes.

They ended up axing the Luffy vs Zoro bit of Whiskey Peak, which means we missed out on this iconic moment 😔

You can tell they had a lot of fun doing the fight choreography and staging this episode. The Zoro vs 100 agents fight is kinda of unmemorable in the grand scheme of One Piece fights, but this might be one of the best action scenes they've done so far.

This season, they wrote Zoro to have this mental hang-up about Mihawk, where he sees visions of him taunting his lack of skills. It's an intriguing bit of character development, especially considering Zoro does go a bit crazy in the next arc.

This is a good little exchange. A very Luffy moment.

Another nice addition. Sanji would 1000% be the type of guy to take over as bartender at a party to hit on chicks by doing stupid fancy ass mixology shit he learned.

I always love the obscure ass pulls they get for characters' outfits. I'm pretty sure this is a fit Luffy had on the cover of a Shonen Jump magazine years ago.

I have no idea how long they can keep the live-action thing going for, because realistically with production time and length, this could go on for 20 more years, but I'm glad they are retroactively filling in gaps for details we got years later in the manga. It's a nice touch.

Episode 2: We lost the whole subplot of Crocus being on a little island inside Laboon, which means we lost one of the funniest interactions in the manga.

This is a change I fucked with a lot once I saw where they went with it. It's different to the manga obv, but I accepted long ago that this is a unique retelling that is making some stylistic changes.
