So I have been getting weirdly friendly chats on BlueSky and Mastodon that are just not normal, yet. Anyone else think AI bots are working on this platform?

Watched some experts at work putting out a blaze and shot a few photos of them in action. The brush fire was about half of a mile north of the 60 freeway, a few hundred yards West of Moreno Beach Drive. Lake Perris is about 4 miles south of the fire.

I didn't pay a lot of attention to bird's markings when I lived back East inn60's and 70's (VA, MA, RI). It is nice to see the tail markings and other plumage differences in your photo. Here is a California scrub jay.

I am so excited about words --all of which are made up-- and that the Thagomizer, as far as I can tell, was named by Far Side creator Gary Larson. Paleontologists (at least one), seeing that a name was given, accepted the word and now it's science vocabulary.
