I've been neglecting Bluesky! I completely forgot to post this piece from earlier this summer. It started as a demo for my students (but was definitely just an excuse to illustrate the Jabberwocky). Very inspired by John Bauer for this one :)

Yes! The trapped rabbit look
Thank you! It's a gorgeous story :)
This was originally a Rapunzel piece, but after finishing A Sorceress Comes to Call by @tkingfisher.com I feel like it almost fits that story better! Both are rather dark fairy tales with a wicked sorceress so I guess I shouldn't be surprised
I'm available for freelance work in the summer and fall 2025! I'm teaching fewer classes than expected so I'm open to whatever work is out there :) I appreciate referrals too!

Quote repost with something watery! I want to draw more flooded environments this year
You already know what it is, another pulp romance from savers that has an a+ cover
Brown pencil drawing of a fallow deer with deliberately exaggerated proportions: an ample, rownd, cuddly chonk of a creature with the sweetest expression.
Original artwork available at auction, ending Friday 7th February, 18:30 GMT. π
'Podgy Deer'
Brown pencil on ivory cartridge paper, 150 Γ 103 mm, 2019.

Another day another incredible book cover found at savers
Does anyone know any art directors and if so can we bring back covers in this style? I want nothing more than to make covers like this
A creature whose hair is made of clouds gently spreads its lunar rays to inspire living beings. The rays are reflecting their light on the ocean and the wet sand
βοΈ Sea of Melancholy βοΈ
An illustration that might allow me to explore a new project. I don't know if it will last 1 month, 1 year or years. But I want to listen to the songs of these faded and forgotten worlds.

Do you like maps? I do, but this is my first time making one for a project! I loved putting in lots of little details just for me
I'm working on being looser and more painterly with my work since drawing the way I have been is proving to be pretty draining. This piece isn't quite finished but I like where it's heading!
Quote Repost with starry art!
One day I'll work in a consistent style... One day

A big ass fantasy dog
Pretty proud of this considering I haven't drawn a dog in, like, eight years. Also, trying to get that 80's fantasy feels was harder than I thought but the sparkly tiara was a lot of fun. Her name is Margot btw!
It's hard to see all the juicy texture so I'm going to be posting some closeups (the sword and hands are my favorite part of the whole drawing)
A man, a woman, and a dog against a background of stars. They each have a gem. Below, the three of them look out over a desolate landscape with an evil fortress in the distance.
Finished this commission today?? Best request I've been asked to make by far #art
Graphite and digital color!
Thanks! I over-detail my shadows sometimes so I really tried to simplify this one and be more graphic
Ah thanks Emily!!

Only one of my students knew about the show alas
Viktor from the show Arcane, surrounded by swirling orange colors
Not the best picture, but I demo'd drawing over matte acrylic with colored pencils and decided to do some #arcane fanart! I've always had a soft spot for Viktor
Love the sense of scale in this one.
If you see this, post a monster!
These lists are such a great idea!
Not much new to share since this semester of teaching has been keeping me busy! But I do have this sketch for a piece I'll get around to finishing eventually--i have no idea how this fits with my current portfolio but it was very fun to draw some weird monsters.
